Bahraich, 11 November (HS). In Mumbai's famous Baba Siddiqui murder case, Shiv Kumar, the main shooter of Lawrence Vishnoi gang, has been arrested by UP STF along with his four associates.
The main accused has admitted that he will get Rs 10 lakh for the murder of Baba Siddiqui. There will be something available every month. Shubham and Yasin had provided weapons, mobile, SIM for the murder. The shooters were given different SIMs to talk after the murder.
During interrogation, Shivkumar admitted that he and Dharamraj Kashyap were residents of the same village. Used to work as a scrap dealer in Pune. Mine and Shubham's shop were opposite to each other. STF officials said that the arrested criminal was Shiv Kumar Gautam alias Shiva, who is the main shooter. Apart from this, his partners are Anurag Kashyap, Gyan Prakash Tripathi, Akash Srivastava and Akhilendra Pratap Singh. These three are assistants to the main shooter. Anurag is the brother of shooter Dharamraj.
It is noteworthy that the shooters had shot dead Ziauddin Abdul Rahi Siddiqui alias Baba Siddiqui, a minister in the Mumbai government and close to film actor Salman Khan, outside the office of his MLA son Zeeshan Siddiqui in Khernagar on the night of 12 October. The arrested shooters revealed that Baba Siddiqui was murdered at the behest of jailed notorious criminal Lawrence Vishwanoi.
Maharashtra resident Shubham Sonkar and Jalandhar resident Mohd. Yasin Akhtar was the handler of these shooters, who provided the logistics and location of the deceased. Mumbai Police had sought the help of UP STF to catch the criminals. During investigation it was found that the shooters were hiding in Bahraich. Mumbai team came to Lucknow.
STF sub-inspector Javed Alam Siddiqui, chief constable and other teams were deployed. The STF team arrested the accused on Sunday near Harabahasari canal culvert of Nanpara police station area. Mumbai Police has taken the shooters with itself.
