Jammu, 10 November (HIST). The International Vedic Conference on the subject of Science in Vedas concluded on Sunday under the joint aegis of Central Sanskrit University Shri Ranvir Campus, Kot Bhalwal Jammu and Science Council of Jammu and Kashmir Province. The chief guest of the program was Swami Govindananda Saraswati. The special guests of the program were Dr. Somdev Bhardwaj, Area Head of Vigyan Bharti and Vice Chancellor of SCAST Jammu, Prof. BN Tripathi and Saraswatithi Maharishi Sandipani, former Vice President of Veda Vidya Pratishthan, Ujjain, Prof. Prafulla Kumar Mishra and Registrar of Central Sanskrit University, Prof. R.G. Murali Krishna was present.
The program was presided over by campus director Prof. Done by Sridhar Mishra. Chief guest Govindanand Saraswati said in his address that ancient religion and culture can be preserved only by adopting Vedic knowledge in human life. Special guest Dr. Somdev Bhardwaj congratulated the Central Sanskrit University for the successful and grand organization of the Vedic Conference and said that if such events continue to be held in future also, it will infuse new energy into the academic world and help the new generation to know the heritage. Special guest SCAST Vice Chancellor Prof. BN Tripathi congratulated the organizing committee and said that the purpose for which this conference has been organized seems to be successful today. It should be our continuous effort to make such events dynamic and grand in future. Saraswat Guest Prof. Prafull Kumar Mishra said that the knowledge of Vedas gives introduction to Sanatan culture. This educates the new generation which will strengthen the cultural heritage of India. Registrar Prof. R.G. Murali Krishna said that it is a moment of pride for the Central Sanskrit University that the integration of science and Vedas has taken place in such a grand manner. In his presidential address, Campus Director Prof. Shridhar Mishra said that without the four Vedas, life has no importance. To awaken the fire of knowledge in man, it is necessary to have Vedic knowledge. The life of the one who has attained this knowledge becomes blessed.
Three sessions were organized in the second day, in which the fourth session was organized on the topic 'Integrating Tradition and Technology Vedic Perspective Innovation', whose session was chaired by SCAST Vice Chancellor Prof. Prof. BN Tripathi, Vice President, Chairman of the Computer Department, Jammu University. Pavnesh Abrol was the main speaker, Director of Punjab Pollution Control Board, Prof. Adarsh Pal and Prof. of Jammu University. Praveen Lehna. The report was given by Dr. Neha Chaudhary and Dr. R.K Rai. The session was conducted by Dr. Gopal Verma. In this session, Veda scholars and researchers explained the impact of their research papers on Veda Science, Vedic Mathematics, Skill Education and Sanskrit. In this session, Mohammad Arif, Sneha Chaudhary, Odin Dolma, Arifa Chaudhary, Ashu Sharma etc. presented papers. Students, researchers and teachers from various universities of Jammu and Kashmir were present in this session.
