Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is continuously cornering West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on the issue of Hindutva. Union Minister Smriti Irani has once again targeted Mamata Banerjee on this issue. Smriti Irani has said that since it is election time, a public holiday has been declared on Ram Navami in West Bengal. As the elections approach, she (Mamata) will be seen reciting Chandi from some stage.
Irani reached Bardhaman in West Bengal on Tuesday
Union Minister Smriti Irani reached Bardhaman in West Bengal on Tuesday. Here he addressed the workers conference. Talking to the media after his address, he said that Mamata Banerjee will instigate a community in the name of CAA. Praising PM Modi for implementing CAA, Smriti Irani said, 'PM Modi has fulfilled his resolve to give citizenship with full respect to the people of Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist and Jain communities coming from Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh. India is with them to protect their religion.
Factionalism is going on inside TMC: Irani
The Union Minister further said, 'In the program, people of the Hindu community especially thanked PM Modi. But Mamata Banerjee will mislead some communities for vote bank. Taking aim at Trinamool Congress, Smriti Irani said, 'There is a fight going on inside TMC, a fight is going on as to who is sister supporter and who is nephew supporter. The question also arises that what kind of leader will the nephew become after his sister?
'No need to see us'
Pointing towards factionalism in TMC, the Union Minister said that they do not need to look at us, because the danger is at home. Addressing a rally in Bardhaman, Smriti Irani said, 'Mamata Banerjee joins hands with those leaders of India Bloc who insult Sanatan Dharma, then before Ram Navami she also declares public holiday on Ram Navami. All this is just for elections. Ram Navami holiday has been declared for the first time in West Bengal.
