Ingredients for making Jalaram Khichdi
- 1 cup rice
- half cup almonds
- 2 cups water
- 2 cups water
- 2 tbsp ghee or oil
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon asafoetida
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
- salt to taste
- 1/4 tsp red chili powder (optional)
- Chopped Amaranth, Potato, Carrot, Tomato, Onion
- chopped coriander for garnish
How to make Jalaram Khichdi
- – Wash rice and lentils and soak them for some time.
- Heat oil in the cooker and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, asafoetida, turmeric and all the spices and salt as per taste.
- Then add chopped potatoes, brinjal, carrots and whatever vegetables you like.
- – Now add soaked rice and Magdal in it.
- Cook till cooked, then open the cooker and add chopped coriander.
- Your Jalaram Khichdi is ready.
