Guruji Credit Card Scheme: Jharkhand government has launched a scheme to provide loans up to Rs 15 lakh at a simple interest of 4% to needy students of the state for higher education. It has been named 'Guruji Student Credit Card Scheme'. Apart from this, 'Manaki Munda Scholarship Scheme' has also been launched to provide financial assistance ranging from Rs 15 to Rs 3,000 annually to girl students pursuing technical education.
1200 students got Guruji Credit Card
CM Champai Soren launched both the schemes in a program organized at Harivansh Tana Bhagat Stadium in Khelgaon, Ranchi. He handed over Guruji Credit Cards to 1,200 students. Apart from this, the amount of the first installment of Manki Munda Scholarship Scheme was sent to 900 girl students. On this occasion, CM said that after the launch of the credit card scheme, poor boys and girls of Jharkhand will not have to worry about money for studies.
Features of Guruji Credit Card
- Banks will not charge any kind of processing fee for educational loans given to the beneficiaries of Guruji Credit Card Scheme.
- The loan can be returned in 15 years.
- For this, students or their parents will not have to deposit any security or guarantee. Students of any income group will be able to avail the benefit of this scheme.
Manki Munda Scholarship Scheme
Similarly, under the Manki Munda Scholarship Scheme, girl students will be given an incentive of Rs 15,000 per year for Diploma level courses and Rs 30,000 per year for B.Tech courses. Minister Satyanand Bhokta and Badal were also present at the launch of the scheme.
