Jaunpur, 09 November (HS). “Legal Awareness/Literacy Programme” was organized on Saturday on the occasion of “National Legal Services Day” by “Dattopant Thengadi Legal Aid and Service Centre” at Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University campus.
In the program, first of all, Mangala Prasad Yadav, coordinator of the Legal Aid and Service Center, threw light on the organization and relevance of “Legal Services Day”. Dr. Dinesh Singh explained in detail about free legal services. Shriprakash Yadav highlighted the importance of legal awareness. Dr. Inderjit Singh and Dr. Zeeshan Ali provided legal information to the students. Final year Law students Nikita Tiwari, Abhishek Yadav and Chitranshu Tiwari gave information related to getting a driving license, benefits of following traffic rules and fines related to traffic violations. In-charge department head Dr. Vanita Singh, Dr. Rajan Tiwari, Dr. Suraj Sonkar and other teachers and students of the university were present in the program. The program was conducted by law students Sneha Mishra and Vaishnavi Tiwari.
