Guwahati, 09 November (HS). Gorchuk police of Guwahati have arrested two smugglers along with a huge quantity of ganja. Police said on Saturday that on the basis of secret information, 41.92 kg of ganja was seized from a car (AS-01DA-6699) during a special search operation on National Highway-27 in the police station area.
Two smugglers have been arrested in this case. The arrested smugglers have been identified as Mohammad Vicky Ali (40) and Gautam Bodo (39). Both the arrested accused were smuggling ganja inside the car very cleverly.
The value of the recovered gunj is estimated to be lakhs of rupees. The police have registered an FIR in this regard and are intensively interrogating the two arrested smugglers.
