Gandhinagar News: Another new aspect has been added to the ongoing Operation Ganga Jal against corruption, bribery, plunder of Gujarat's resources, theft from the government treasury and malpractices against one or two officials. For the first time in the process of premature retirement, 'incompetent' officers, that is, those who did not do the work efficiently or did not perform the assigned work even after repeated instructions, notices and reprimands, have been sent home. Two such Class One, ITI principals were simultaneously suspended by the Labor and Employment Department six-seven years before their retirement.
After the forced retirement of two more officers in Operation Ganga Water launched by the Gujarat government, the number of such officers who are corrupt, incompetent and not in the interest of the state has increased to 25. The Labor and Employment Department late on Thursday night ordered Bhiloda ITI Principal Bharat Dhanabhai Rawal and Surat ITI Principal Hasmukh Nanji Kakadiya to take premature retirement with immediate effect.
