Dense fog in Himachal, visibility reaches 20 meters in Bilaspur and Mandi

Shimla, 09 November (HS). The weather patterns are changing in Himachal Pradesh. Like the night, the cold has become intense during the day also. The plain parts of the state are under dense fog. Traffic is being affected due to falling intensity of fog in various areas.

Due to dense fog in Bilaspur on Saturday morning, visibility was reduced to only 20 meters. Due to this the speed of vehicles on the roads slowed down. Similarly, in Mandi and Sundernagar, visibility dropped to 50 meters due to fog. School children and office going people are facing problems due to dense fog.

According to the Meteorological Department, the havoc of cold will increase in the coming days and there will be a continuous decline in temperature. The department has issued a yellow alert of dense fog in Bilaspur and Mandi for the next two days. Cloudy rain is expected in central and hilly areas on November 11.

Weather will change in 48 hours, clouds will rain

According to Meteorological Center Shimla, there will be a change in the weather during the next 48 hours and there are chances of rain and snowfall in other districts except the plain areas. There is a possibility of rain and snowfall in Chamba, Kangra, Kinnaur, Kullu, Lahaul-Spiti and Mandi districts. The weather will be clear in the entire state on 12th and 13th November. But clouds are expected to rain in the hilly areas on 14th and 15th November.

Mercury in minus in two cities, Tabo is the coldest

During the last 24 hours, the average minimum temperature of the state dropped by 0.2 degrees. The mercury in two cities of Lahaul-Spiti district was recorded below zero. Tabo was the coldest place, where the mercury stood at -3.5 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature was -0.8 degree in Kukumseri, 3 in Keylong, 4.4 in Samdho, 4.8 in Kalpa, 7.5 in Manali, 7.8 in Reckong Peo, 8 in Seobag, 8.5 in Narkanda, 9.4 in Bhuntar and Bajuara, 9.6 in Solan, 9.8 in Mashobra, 10.5 in Palampur, 10.5 in Sundernagar 10.6 and 11.1 degrees Celsius have been recorded in Shimla.
