West Bengal: Three coaches of passenger train derail at Nalpur near Shalimar, no casualties

Kolkata, 9 November (Hindustan Reporter). Three coaches of the passenger train derailed near Nalpur on Saturday morning while going towards Shalimar in Howrah. It is a matter of relief that there is no news of any loss in the accident. Railway employees and security forces have reached the spot and started relief work. Due to the accident, the service of South-Eastern Railway has been disrupted.

A South Eastern Railway official said that there was no information about any casualty in the accident. Of the three coaches involved in the accident, two were carrying passengers while one was a parcel van. Senior officials have reached the spot and are investigating the cause of the accident. Also, efforts are being made to restore rail service.

Due to the accident, there has been a delay in the movement of trains on this route of South-Eastern Railway and the route of some trains has been changed.
