Jaunpur, 06 November (HS). Late Tuesday evening, the police have taken into custody BSP's Machhilishahr Nagar Panchayat President Sanjay Jaiswal in the fraud case. On September 11, a case was registered against him on charges of fraud and selling a trailer by preparing forged documents.
Anurag Jaiswal, younger brother of the Nagar Panchayat President, resident of Shadiganj of the city, had given an application to the Joint Home Secretary in July. It was alleged that he had installed 13 of his trailers in the SKP Road Lines Transport Company of Machhilshahr owned by his elder brother, Nagar Panchayat President Sanjay Jaiswal, but took them all into his possession with the aim of deceiving and taking unauthorized benefits. After this, without my permission and without NOC being issued by the bank, fake and forged documents were prepared and sold by fraudulent means. The Joint Home Secretary had ordered an investigation into the matter. After investigation, the Kotwali police registered a case on September 11 and started investigation. After the case was registered, the Speaker had taken a stay order from the High Court to avoid arrest. He had gone to the High Court on Tuesday to further extend the stay order, but did not get the stay order. After this, while returning from there, the police took him into custody near the toll plaza.
In this matter, on Wednesday, Area Officer Machhilishahr Girendra Kumar Singh said that the Nagar Panchayat President is being detained and interrogated in the fraud case. His brother had earlier filed a case against him in family matters. He had taken bail from the High Court. He has been taken into custody after his bail expired yesterday.
