Varanasi: A heart-wrenching incident has come to light in Bhadaini area of Bhelupur police station area of Varanasi. A young man named Rajendra Gupta shot dead his wife and three children late at night. The deceased include wife Neetu Gupta (45 years), son Navneet Gupta (25 years), son Subendra Gupta (15 years) and daughter Gaurangi Gupta (16 years).
According to reports, Tantrik Salah was having a rift with his wife. The accused has already gone to jail in an old case of murder of his brother, sister-in-law, father and two guards over a property dispute. The incident took place at night, when he shot dead his family and fled from the spot.
It is said that on the advice of a Tantrik, Rajendra started considering his wife as an obstacle in his work. Because of this he often quarreled with his wife regarding his second marriage.

After the incident, Rajendra Gupta's elderly mother is present at home, but due to old age she is unable to walk. About 15 to 20 tenants live in Rajendra's house, but no one came to know about the incident.
On receiving information about the incident, nearby people reached the spot and informed the police. On receiving the information, Inspector and other policemen of Bhelupur police station reached the spot and started investigation.
A forensic team was also called and police traced Rajendra Gupta's mobile phone to nab him. On receiving information about the incident, Police Commissioner Mohit Aggarwal also reached the spot and took information about the incident.
The body of the accused was found 10 km away
Here, during the investigation, the body of accused Rajendra was found in an under-construction house located at Sadalpur-Lathian in Rohaniya, 10 km away from the incident site. It has not been confirmed whether he was murdered or committed suicide. The Police Commissioner who reached the spot has stopped anyone from going near the dead body. Forensic team has been called. The deceased was shot on his ear.
