US Presidential Election 2024: It's time to set America's and the world's direction for the next four years. Voting for the election of the new President in the United States will begin on Tuesday morning and by late night it will be decided who will be the next leader. Although there are a total of eight candidates in the US presidential election, the contest is between Indian-origin Vice President and Democratic Party candidate Kamala Devi Harris and Republican Party candidate former President Donald Trump.
Trump's statement
For a few hours after the voting, both were seen trying their best to woo the voters in their favor. Trump has warned that if Harris wins, there is a danger of a third world war in which the world will be destroyed. If Kamala Harris wins, it will be a source of pride for the people of Indian origin as well as a history-changing mandate. This will be the first time in the nearly 235-year history of presidential elections that a woman will become President of the United States.
Clash between Trump and Harris
Kamala Harris tried to woo black and Arab voters. At the same time, his rival Donald Trump tried to garner sympathy for his attack at a rally in Pennsylvania. Opinion polls show that there is a tough contest between the two candidates.
7 crore voters voted
60-year-old Kamala Harris is getting the support of a large section of women from all walks of life, while 78-year-old Trump is getting the support of a large section of voters and men from Latin American countries. 7.7 million US voters have already cast their ballot through alternative methods ahead of the scheduled voting date on Tuesday.
Decisions will have to be taken looking at the future
“The day has come to decide the future of our future generations,” Harris said at Detroit's Greater Emmanuel Institutional Church. We have to take decisions keeping in mind the future of the country. We have to take decisions for the welfare and democracy of our community. After this, while addressing about two lakh people of Arab origin in East Lansing, Michigan, Harris expressed grief over the death and difficulties of common people in Gaza and Lebanon.
The past year has been tragic for the people of Gaza, he said. Now the same is happening in Lebanon also. He said that as Vice President, he made every possible effort to stop the destruction in Gaza and these efforts will continue in the future. Whereas Trump addressed three public meetings in the last round.
Trump called opinion poll fake
Putting the teleprompter aside, Trump addressed the crowd in his usual calm style. He termed the opinion polls showing Kamala Harris in the contest as fake. The former President described Harris as incompetent, weak and unbalanced. If the Democrat candidate wins the world will be closer to World War 3, when he wins America will return to its old glory and prosperity.
