Chhath festival started with Nahay-Khay across the country

New Delhi, 05 November (HS). Chhath, the biggest festival of Sun worship, started today with Nahay-Khay across the country. In this four-day ritual of Chhath Puja, devotees will take bath in rivers and other water sources and offer water to the Sun God. Tomorrow on Lohanda Kharna, the devotees will fast the whole day and in the evening will pay obeisance to the Sun God and receive Prasad. The four-day ritual will conclude with offerings to the setting sun on Thursday evening and the rising sun on Friday.

The biggest festival of folk faith will begin today with a holy bath. On this occasion, a resolution was taken for a four-day ritual. Tomorrow, 36 hours waterless fast will begin after consuming the Prasad of Kharna.
