Dehradun, 04 November (HS). Congress leader and spokesperson Shishpal Bisht has fiercely targeted the BJP government of Uttarakhand. He alleged that the state government has completely failed on important issues like Chardham Yatra and land law.
In the press conference, Bisht said that the government did not pay any attention to the Chardham Yatra, which is the lifeline of the state's economy. During the journey, the devotees faced a lot of inconvenience and the health services were in poor condition. He said that the government only makes paper announcements, they have nothing to do with the ground reality.
On the issue of land law, Bisht said that the amendment made by the government in 2018 has encouraged indiscriminate sale of land in the state. He demanded that the government should repeal this amendment and the lands that have been sold should be investigated.
The Congress leader alleged that the BJP government was protecting corrupt officials and ignoring honest officials. He said that corruption is at its peak in the state and the government is not taking any action on it.
