East Champaran, 04 November (HS). On the occasion of Chhath, the great festival of folk faith, the people of Muslim community have set an example of communal harmony by cooperating.

An example of this was seen in Bangra village of Sugauli Nagar in East Champaran district, where the youth of the Muslim community were seen cleaning the roads leading to the ghat on the occasion of Chhath Puja. Villagers Azhar Ansari, Zakir Hawari, Zahid Hussain said that this is a festival of faith, in which people from every section of the society should participate. In such a situation, we all are together making preparations for Arghya at Chhath Ghat. In this regard, we are wholeheartedly engaged in the repair work of Chhath ghats, roads and damaged roads. In this context, Abbot Baba Mahant Manish Das said that it is a matter of great happiness that people of both the communities are celebrating any festival together.

For the last many years, people of both the communities participate in any religious event and make the event successful. No caste religion is seen here. Non-Muslim people also participate enthusiastically in Muslim festivals.

In this village, on the day of Chhath Puja, a large number of people of Muslim community reach the ghat to witness Chhath Puja. And after the completion of the festival with the rising sun, after the completion of the festival, they ask for Prasad and accept it. Due to which the atmosphere remains devotional.
