Dumka, 4 November (Hindustan Reporter). Bihar's Jamui police station on Monday arrested a cyber thug who had deposited Rs 1 lakh in his account and took him along for questioning. Accused Zahid Ansari was arrested from his house in Sonadhab village of Shikaripara with the help of Shikaripara police station.
According to the information, on May 21 this year, cyber thugs committed fraud of Rs 2.91 lakh from the account of a woman resident of Jamui. After registering the case, the police started investigation. Investigation revealed that Rs 1 lakh was deposited in the account of Zahid Ansari of Shikaripada. During interrogation, the accused revealed the names of five members of the fraud gang. Police are suspecting the involvement of other people in the gang.
Jamui police station reached Shikaripada police station with the arrest warrant of Zahid. He along with the local police raided the village and arrested Zahid. Shikaripada police station in-charge Hariprasad Sah said that money was withdrawn from the account of a woman from Jamui. Zahid Ansari was also involved in the fraud. The fraudulent money had come into his account. On this basis, the police arrested him and took him to the court and took him with them on the orders of the court.
