People celebrating Chhath festival eagerly wait for this festival throughout the year. According to the Hindu calendar, this great festival starts on the Chaturthi of Shukla Paksha of Kartik month and ends on Saptami Tithi. Chhath Puja is considered to be the biggest festival of Bihar. Chhath puja lasts for four days
Chhath Puja lasts for four days in which Nahay-Khay is offered on the first day, Kharna on the second day, Chhath Puja on the third day and Sandhya Arghya is offered on the fourth day. In this puja dedicated to Chhathi Maiya and Sun God, the devotees offer Arghya to the Sun and pray for happiness and prosperity for their family.
