New Delhi, 4 November (Hindustan Reporter). Chief Minister Atishi inspected Chhath Ghat located at ITO along with officials on Monday and took stock of the preparations going on there. On this occasion, Chief Minister Atishi said that there should be no shortage in the preparations for Chhath festival in Delhi, in this direction all the ministers, MLAs and departments of Delhi government are inspecting Chhath ghats across the city. The festival of Chhath is the most important festival for Purvanchali brothers and sisters. The faith of Purvanchali brothers and sisters as well as all the people of Delhi is associated with Chhathi Maiya.
He said that ever since Arvind Kejriwal's government was formed in Delhi, the respect given to Chhath festival in Delhi has not been given by any government before. Till 2014, Chhath Ghats were constructed by the Delhi government at only 60 places across Delhi. Now under the guidance of Arvind Kejriwal, spectacular Chhath Ghats are made by the Delhi Government at more than 1000 places across Delhi. Where the entire arrangement is looked after by the Delhi Government. Atishi said, “Today I have come to inspect the preparations at this Chhath Ghat located in ITO. This Chhath Ghat is one of the most important Chhath Ghats of Delhi, where lakhs of devotees come to worship Chhathi Maiya. He said that in this sequence, all the MLAs and ministers are also continuously inspecting all the Chhath Ghats. We hope that the blessings of Chhathi Maiya remain with all the people of Delhi.
It is noteworthy that more than 1000 ghats have been prepared by the Delhi government across the city so that no person in Delhi has to go away from his home to celebrate the festival of Chhath. Necessary arrangements like construction of ponds, tents, lights, cleanliness and security etc. are being made by the Delhi Government on these ghats. Besides, cultural programs will also be organized by Maithili-Bhojpuri Academy at many ghats. So that the devotees can celebrate the great festival of faith, Chhath, with happiness, peace and joy. During the inspection, the Chief Minister directed the officials to prepare all the Chhath Ghats expeditiously so that no work is left for the last day and the devotees do not have to face any problem.
