Dharamshala, March 12 (Hindustan Reporter) Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Kishori Lal participated as the chief guest at the conclusion of the five-day state level Shivratri Mahotsav on Tuesday.
Addressing the people, the Chief Parliamentary Secretary said that Baijnath Shivratri Mahotsav has been organized here for centuries and in the coming times, efforts will be made to further increase the importance of this fair and make it grand in shape. He said that Baijnath Shivratri is a festival related to the faith of the people and is a symbol of the unwavering faith of the people.
He said that fairs and festivals are a reflection of our rich culture and organizing them helps in preserving the culture and transmitting the information to the next generation. He said that on the occasion of the inauguration of Shivratri Mahotsav, Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu received the blessings of Baba Baijnath and gave a gift worth crores to the assembly constituency. He said that it is because of the Chief Minister's affection towards the people of Baijnath that the Chief Minister has announced to fulfill all the demands of Baijnath together.
