Kangra police caught one kilo 945 grams of hashish, three accused arrested

Dharamshala, March 12 (Hindustan Reporter) Kangra Police, while taking action against those involved in black drug trade, has succeeded in seizing one kilo and 945 grams of hashish. Police have arrested three accused in this case and taken further action.

SP Kangra Shalini Agnihotri said on Tuesday that Kangra Police got this success near Kachiyari petrol pump near Kangra. In this case, the police have arrested two accused – 46-year-old Sukh Ram and 46-year-old Vishan Das from Padhar of Mandi district, who brought the hashish, and 24-year-old Shubhakaran, resident of Rompa tehsil Jwali district Kangra, who bought the hashish. A case has been registered against these three under the NDPS Act and further action has been taken.

The SP said that the accused who brought the hashish had to sell it at Rs 50 thousand per kg and the buyer had to sell it further to different people in Jwali and surrounding areas for around Rs 3 to 4 lakh. He said that this case of hashish is very big and after a long time, the team of Kangra Police Station has succeeded in capturing such a big consignment. He said that Kangra Police's campaign against those doing such black business will continue in the future.
