Barmer, 3 November (Hindustan Reporter). The DST team of Balotra police has recovered fake notes worth Rs 8 lakh 97 thousand 500 and arrested an accused on Sunday night. Police have expressed suspicion of a big racket behind this. A used motorcycle was seized.
District Superintendent of Police Kundan Kanwaria said that late on the night of 2nd November, DST Balotra received information that a large quantity of fake notes could be recovered from the possession of Bharat Kumar, son of Harchandram Mali, resident of Malis, Borawas Tilwara Hall, Gandhipura Balotra. Bharat Kumar is using fake notes as real ones. On this, separate police teams were formed under the leadership of Additional Superintendent of Police Gopal Singh Bhati, Circle Officer Balotra Anil Purohit, Police Officer Jasol Chandra Singh. District Special Team Balotra blocked Asotra border area. During this, Bharat Kumar, who was coming on a motorcycle, was stopped by giving a signal. It was searched and a total of 1795 fake notes of Rs 500-500 worth Rs 8 lakh 97 thousand 500 were found in its possession. The accused was arrested. The motorcycle used in the incident was confiscated. A case was registered in this regard at Jasol police station. The accused is being interrogated thoroughly.
The accused has a mobile repairing shop in Balotra itself, which is said to be behind the old bus stand. He has changed shops several times. The accused has connections with Ahmedabad. The 24-year-old youth has no previous crime connections. In such a situation, the police is keeping an eye on who is connected to him by coming in contact with him from Ahmedabad and who is supplying fake notes to him.
