The faces of MNREGA workers lit up after receiving the honour.

Hamirpur, 03 November (HS). On Sunday, while encouraging the workers working under the government's ambitious MNREGA scheme in a village of Maudaha development block, the village head honored the workers by giving them awards. People's faces lit up after receiving the honour.

Like previous years, in village Parehta of Maudaha development block area, this year also village head Priyanka Devi honored the laborers of the village working under MNREGA scheme in view of Diwali festival by giving them awards. Village resident laborer Ram Prasad was honored with a bicycle, Shri Krishna, Ramsanehi, Vishram, Mahesh, Hiralal, Arjun, Ramnaresh were honored with a steel tank each, 10 people were honored with a steel jug and 150 people were honored with tiffin and sweets and body clothes. Happiness was visible on the faces of the workers after receiving the honour. Chief guest Ramnarayan Yadav said that his aim is that the people of the village should stay in the village and take advantage of the welfare government schemes and get freedom from poverty by working under the MNREGA scheme. On this occasion, dozens of people of the village including Block Development Officer Duryadhan, Village Development Officer Brijesh Shukla, Employment Servant Ramkishore Tiwari, Panchayat Assistant Ankur Kumar were present. Principal representative Kamta Prasad conducted the operation. On this occasion, Gram Panchayat members were honored by giving them diaries and pens.
