Seven convicted in truck arson case, released on PR bond


Sahibganj, March 12 (Hindus). On Tuesday, the court of Additional Justice MK Verma, while hearing the case of arson of a truck along with obstructing government work, found seven accused guilty and released them on probation personal bond (PR bond).

The convicts include Govind Baitha, Ankit Nayak, Bablu Munda, Arjun Mahato, Ramjit Nayak, Sararam Nayak and Bajaj Munda. But the court has released the culprits on PR bond for one year. Whereas the three accused, Teejan Devi, Anita Devi and Shanti Devi, who were facing trial in the case, were acquitted due to lack of evidence. An FIR was registered against the accused on the above charges on April 7, 2016 in Angada police station. In which it was alleged that on the morning of April 6, 2016, a child had died in a road accident near Angada Chowk due to the negligence of the driver of a turbo truck. In protest against this the villagers had blocked the road. The parked truck was also set on fire.
