New Delhi, March 12 (HS). Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Tuesday held discussions with various stakeholders on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of a developed India by the year 2047. The Finance Minister will share the suggestions received during this discussion with the Prime Minister.
In a statement issued at the 'X' post, the Finance Minister's Office said that Nirmala Sitharaman has discussed with various stakeholders here on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of a developed India by the year 2047. The Finance Minister interacted with various stakeholders across multiple sectors to identify actionable ideas.
The participants present during the deliberations included experts from various industries, start-ups, emerging and emerging sectors, fintech, infrastructure, banking and financial services, social sector, academia and think tanks. The country's Chief Economic Advisor V. Ananth Nageswaran was also present during this conversation.
The topics that Finance Minister Sitharaman discussed with the participants included leveraging digital public infrastructure to boost the banking and insurance sectors, use of technology to promote ease of living, inclusive growth and social- Economic development is the key to achieving the goal of self-reliant India.
Furthermore, the deliberations aim to foster a deep, collaborative dialogue to unleash India's potential and seek suggestions to accelerate India's growth trajectory. Some of the topics that Sitharaman discussed with the participants included leveraging digital public infrastructure to boost the banking and insurance sectors. Additionally the use of technology to promote ease of living, inclusive growth and socio-economic development; Achieving goals for self-reliant India and green and sustainable development, etc.
