Bhopal, 2 November (HS). Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav performed Govardhan Puja at the Chief Minister's residence on Saturday. He prayed for the happy life of the people of the state by performing Govardhan Puja with rituals and reciting mantras in the cow shed located at his residence. He said that Govardhan Puja programs are being organized by the Madhya Pradesh government in the entire state.
Effort to connect citizens with Sanatan tradition
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav had given instructions to organize Govardhan Puja programs at the government level. The tradition of Govardhan Puja on the second day of Diwali is quite ancient. Govardhan and cow are worshiped in symbolic form. In fact, it is also a festival of worship of nature. There is a rich tradition of Govardhan Puja in public life, about which special efforts were made by the government this year to make the young generation aware of it.

After Govardhan Puja, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also spent some time with the cows of the cow shed located at the Chief Minister's residence. He caressed the cows affectionately and fed them jaggery and sweets himself.
