Purnia, 2 November (Hindustan Reporter). The police has achieved a major success in the case of death threat received from Lawrence Bishnoi gang to Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav, MP from Purnia Lok Sabha seat of Bihar. Purnia Police has arrested an accused in this case, Mahesh Pandey from New Delhi.
During police interrogation, the accused told that earlier he used to work for some former MPs and MLAs. A few days ago he had gone to UAE, where his sister-in-law lives. After coming to India with a SIM from there, he created a WhatsApp account with that number. After MP Pappu Yadav's reaction to the media on the Baba Siddiqui murder case, the accused extracted his number from Google and sent a threatening message from UAE's WhatsApp account.
Purnia SP said that accused Mahesh Pandey has connections with many people, including politicians and gang members. He has worked at many big places. Police have recovered the UAE SIM, mobile phone and his wife's mobile and SIM used in making threats from the accused. The accused has accepted his crime.
