One thousand crore rupees were paid to 34 thousand farmers

Fatehabad, 2 November (HS). So far, 4 lakh 68 thousand 082 metric tons of paddy crop has been lifted from various markets and purchase centers of the district, which is 83 percent of the purchase. So far, 5 lakh 65 thousand 125 metric tons of paddy crop has been purchased in the district. Till now, an amount of Rs 1058.16 crore has been paid to 34339 farmers for their purchased crops.

Deputy Commissioner Mandeep Kaur said on Saturday that 5 lakh 65 thousand 125 metric tons of paddy has been purchased in the district, out of which Food Supply has purchased 1 lakh 34 thousand 135 metric tons of paddy from 6879 farmers, HAFED has purchased 1 lakh 90 thousand 586 metric tons of it from 12902 farmers. Ton and HWC have purchased two lakh 40 thousand 405 metric tons of paddy crop from 14558 farmers.

Along with this, the work of lifting paddy crop from the markets is also being done. So far, 4 lakh 68 thousand 082 metric tons of paddy crop has been lifted in the district, out of which Food Supply has lifted one lakh 17 thousand 820 metric tons, HAFED has lifted one lakh 48 thousand 423 metric tons and HWC has lifted two lakh 01 thousand 839 metric tons. Tons of paddy crop has been lifted.

Deputy Commissioner Mandeep Kaur said that so far an amount of Rs 1058.16 crore has been paid to 34339 farmers for their purchased crops by various procurement agencies in the district. In the district, paddy crop of farmers is being purchased at the rate of MSP Rs 2320 per quintal. The Deputy Commissioner has called upon the farmers to bring their crops to the market or procurement centers only after drying them, so that they do not face any problem in selling the crops. Every grain of the crop of all the farmers will be purchased at the support price fixed by the government.
