Lebanese MP Hussein Haj Hassan said the deadly attacks in and around the northeastern city of Baalbek had forced some 60,000 people to flee their homes.

The attack in the north-eastern Baalbek-Harmel region killed eight people in the village of Amhaz and two in the village of Taraya. According to media reports, Israeli planes also bombed Dahiyah, a southern suburb of Beirut, on Friday morning. Due to which dozens of buildings were destroyed. The Israeli military said the strikes targeted Hezbollah's weapons production sites and command centers.

On the other hand, the Israeli army claimed that it was targeting military equipment of Hezbollah in Lebanon. The Gaza-based health ministry said 55 people were killed and 196 others were wounded in the area in the past 24 hours.
