Mahakal Temple Laduna Prasad packet design changed, now available in new form

Ujjain: Prasad of Mahakal Temple of Madhya Pradesh will now be available in new designed packets. For the second time in three weeks, the temple committee has changed the design of the Prasad packet. Now the picture of Nandi Dwar, the entrance gate of Mahakal Temple has also been included in the new packet.

It is noteworthy that earlier there used to be a picture of Mahakal Shikhar and Om on the Prasad packet. However, after controversy over this design, the temple committee changed it and placed a photo of a flower on the packet. It has been modified once again and the packet has been released with a new design.

There was objection to the old design,
These packets have also become available at Prasad shops. Let us tell you that some saints and religious organizations had objected to the old design of the Prasad packet. He said that throwing Prasad packets insults religious symbols, hence the design of the packets should be changed. On this, Indore High Court directed the temple committee to resolve the matter within 3 months.

Prasad is prepared from pure ghee
A few days ago, the committee had removed the picture of Mahakal Shikhar and prepared packets with pictures of flowers. However, the design was changed again a few days later. Let us tell you that Prasad is made and distributed on a large scale every day in the Mahakal temple. It is popular among devotees in India and abroad. Prasad is made from pure ghee and gram flour.

Here, on the occasion of Diwali, Diwali was celebrated with royal pomp and show at the Bhasma Aarti in the Jyotirlinga Mahakal temple at 4 am on Thursday. Avantikanath Mahakal took Abhyanga bath with saffron sandalwood paste. After this, a grand aarti was performed after offering the Mahabhog of Annakoot. According to tradition, Phuljhar (constellation) was performed during the five aartis performed daily on Diwali.

After this, the Lord was bathed with hot water, this sequence of bathing with hot water will continue till the day of Phalgun Purnima i.e. Holi. After bathing and meditation, the Lord was adorned in divine form by wearing new clothes and gold and silver jewellery.
