According to the information received in this regard, Sanjay Shyam Dasani, resident of H-1 Block, Pandunagar, Kakadev of Kanpur city, is the owner of the franchise of Parle-G biscuits. He is survived by his wife Kanishka and son Harsh. Since yesterday was Diwali, Sanjay Das's wife slept with Kanishka after performing puja. At this time a lamp was burning in the temple of the house. The house caught fire at around 3 o'clock in the night due to the lamp kept in the temple.
On getting information about this, the fire department team reached the spot and after much effort brought the fire under control. After which when they entered the house, Sanjay, his wife Kanishka and his working wife were found unconscious. Hence, all three were immediately admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment by the family members. Where the doctor on duty declared all three dead.
At present, the police have recorded the statement of the family members and are taking further legal action. Initial investigation revealed that the couple could not come out of the house as the automatic gate was closed. Therefore, all three died due to suffocation due to fire and smoke. However, the exact cause of death will be known only after the postmortem report.
