Khargone: Truck catches fire after truck hits bike, three bike riders injured

Khargone, 1 November (Hindustan Reporter). A truck laden with wheat going from Indore towards Mumbai hit the bike hard. Three people riding the bike have been injured. The collision was so severe that it dragged the bike along with the driver for about a hundred metres. Due to which the truck caught fire. As soon as the truck caught fire, the bike driver also started burning. Two women and a man were injured in the accident. Two people have been referred to Indore.

According to the information, the accident happened on Friday at around 5 pm near the petrol pump in Nimrani on Mumbai Agra National Highway. Ajay Parmar was going from Panwa towards village Nimrani with his mother-in-law and sister-in-law, when the accident happened. The villagers pulled out the bike driver Ajay and Kesaribai from the burning truck. Another woman Parvati has also been injured. Ajay and Kesaribai have been referred to Indore. In the absence of an ambulance, the injured continued to suffer for about an hour.

As soon as the information was received, Balakwada police station in-charge Ritesh Yadav and SDM Satyendra Bairwa reached the spot. The truck was burning on the road. High flames were rising. After about half an hour, the fire brigade of Dharampuri Thikri and Kasrawad brought the fire under control. By the time the front part of the truck was completely burnt. As soon as the accident occurred, a large number of people gathered at the spot. There was also a sound like a tire bursting in a burning truck. The villagers complained to the SDM and also demanded an ambulance along with a fire brigade in the industrial area Nimrani.
