Ranchi, 01 November (HS). Deoghar SP Ajit Piter Dungdung has been removed from the post by the Election Commission. Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) has objected to this. On Friday, JMM has written a letter to the Election Commission. Through the letter, he said that on October 29, the Election Commission suddenly issued the order for transfer of Superintendent of Police Ajit Pitar Dungdung, posted in Deoghar, without any reason, which appears to be extremely shocking and harsh. Even before this, an order was passed to transfer Manjunath Bhajantri, the officer posted on the post of Deputy Commissioner in Ranchi, without assigning any reason.

JMM told the Election Commission that the clear objective of these two orders is unknown. This type of order on tribal and Dalit officials posted in the state indirectly protects administrative support to a particular political party in elections. At present, the election process to conduct the sixth assembly general elections is going on in the state. Such orders seem to have an aim to destabilize the administrative system somewhere. We oppose these actions and jointly register our displeasure and objection before you. This letter has been signed by leaders of CPI (ML), RJD, Congress and JMM.
