Banda, 1 November (Hindustan Reporter). A horrific road accident took place on the Bundelkhand Expressway at Shukrashar in Bisanda police station area of Banda, in which a pickup vehicle went out of control and overturned due to a tire burst. In this accident, 30 people traveling in the pickup were injured, while one person died on the spot.
The deceased has been identified as Shiv Shankar Singh (26), son of Jagjit Singh, resident of village Pachnehi, Dehat Kotwali, Banda. The accident occurred when all the people traveling in the pickup were going to visit the famous Kamtanath temple of Chitrakoot to graze the silence. According to the local police, both the front tires of the pickup suddenly burst, due to which the vehicle overturned at high speed. As soon as information about the accident was received, police and 108 ambulance service immediately reached the spot. Along with this, UPEDA ambulance also reached the incident site and took the injured to Banda district hospital, where they are undergoing treatment.
After reaching the district hospital, the doctors said that the condition of two of the people injured in the accident is critical, who have been referred to the medical college for immediate treatment. Other injured admitted to the district hospital are being treated, and the police have informed their families about the incident.
As soon as information about the incident was received, Banda Superintendent of Police Ankur Aggarwal reached the district hospital and inquired about the health of the injured. Superintendent of Police said that this group had left for Chitrakoot from Pachnehi village of Banda and was going on the way of Bundelkhand Expressway. Police have started investigating the matter, and preliminary investigation revealed that the pickup was carrying more people than its carrying capacity. Most of the victims of the accident had set out to visit Kamtanath temple in Chitrakoot, but this tragic accident happened on the way.
