Auraiya, 01 November (HS). In a dispute over gambling in the Sadar Kotwali area of the district, not one youth but another youth fired a pistol. The young man died due to bullet injury. Police arrived on information about the incident and conducted a thorough investigation. During this time, the police had to face the anger of the crowd to take possession of the body. The angry crowd became adamant in demanding the arrest of the murderer. After a lot of persuasion, the crowd was calmed down and the body was taken into custody and the police started taking advance action.
Late night (Thursday) of Diwali, gambling was being played at a place in Narottampur village. Meanwhile, there was a dispute between two people regarding victory and defeat. The matter escalated so much that abuse and fighting started between each other.
Meanwhile, Anil Pal fired the pistol and Sudhir Dohra (38) was shot in the chest. Before the other gamblers present there could understand anything, Sudhir died on the spot. As soon as information about the incident was received, CO Mahendra Kumar and Kotwali police reached the spot. Meanwhile, a huge crowd of village people gathered at the spot. The police tried to take possession of the body for post-mortem. There was anger among the people present on this.
The angry people were adamant in demanding the arrest of the murderer. As soon as information about this was received, Additional Superintendent of Police Alok Mishra also reached the spot. SP Abhijit R Shankar reached the incident site and collected information and pacified the angry people by convincing them to take action.
SP Abhijit R Shankar said that a dispute broke out between two parties while gambling in Narottampur village. In which Anil Pal of the same village shot Sudhir Dohra, due to which he died on the spot. Teams have been deployed to catch the absconding accused and the accused will be arrested soon.
