Beginning of traffic month, emphasis on being aware and following traffic rules.

Varanasi, 01 November (HS). Traffic Month started from Friday in Varanasi, the parliamentary constituency of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Police Commissioner Mohit Aggarwal flagged off the traffic rally from near the Auditorium Hall located on the Traffic Police Line. Before this, in the seminar organized by the Traffic Department, the Police Commissioner gave detailed information regarding Traffic Month. He called upon the common people to follow the traffic rules and said that awareness along with following the traffic rules is necessary to reduce road accidents.

The seminar was also addressed by JCP K. Agilarasan, Additional Police Commissioner, Varanasi Commissionerate S. Chinappa. During this, students of various schools along with DCP Hardesh Kumar, officers and employees of Divisional Transport Department, Roadways were also present. According to ADCP Rajesh Kumar Pandey, awareness programs will be held from 02 to 09 November in the traffic month. Traffic rules will be explained to the students in various schools. Truck-tractor owners and drivers will be informed about what things they should keep in mind while driving. Reflectors etc. will also be installed on vehicles. People around the highway will be trained. So that deaths in accidents can be reduced.

After this, a campaign will be run from 10th to 18th November on the factors causing road accidents. Regarding driving faster than the prescribed speed, drunk driving, riding a bike without a helmet, seat-belt in four-wheelers, not talking on the phone while driving, hooter, siren, pressure horn, black film on the glass and other important things. Will be made aware. Besides this, action will also be taken after checking. After this, a campaign will be conducted on the black spots identified for the accidents from 19 to 14 November. Awareness campaign will be run on 25th November. Various types of training will be given to traffic policemen from 26th to 29th November. With the conclusion of Traffic Month on 30th November, policemen who have done better work during the entire month will be rewarded.
