Jitendra Narayan Singh Sengar

Wasim Rizvi (now Jitendra Narayan Singh Sengar) has been the chairman of the Shia Waqf Central Board and has been in the news since the Yogi Adityanath government came to power in Uttar Pradesh in 2017. Rizvi had then claimed that some educational institutions promote fundamentalist ideology. This statement was strongly opposed by Rizvi from both Shia and Sunni communities. In response to his controversial views, both Shia and Sunni communities issued fatwas against Rizvi, which subsequently expelled him from Islam.
