108 ambulance service will start with a new name in Maharashtra

Mumbai: A project called Maharashtra Emergency Medical Services (MEMS) 108 Ambulances will be launched in five phases in the state in the coming months. The plan was announced on Wednesday, October 30. The fleet of state-of-the-art ambulances will also include bike ambulances.

The scheme has been announced as a joint venture between two companies from India and Spain to provide assistance in the 'golden hour' of emergencies for patients. According to which a fleet of advanced ambulances will be created. These ambulances will have special medical equipment. The plan is based on the ongoing bilateral meetings between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez Pérez Castejón on his maiden visit to India.
