“Every person working in Tirumala should be a Hindu” Statement of the new TTD Chairman

We all know about the Tirupati laddu controversy. BR Naidu has been made the new chairman of Tirupati Devasthanam Board after allegations of mixing animal fat in Tirupati laddus. He gave an important statement while talking to journalists.

He said that all the people working in Tirumala, the abode of Lord Venkateswara, should be from the Hindu community. We will also talk to Andhra Pradesh government about non-Hindus working here.

He further said that he will talk to the Andhra Pradesh government about how to treat employees of other religions, whether they should be transferred to other government departments or given VRS (Voluntary Retirement Scheme, VRS). Regarding Hindus working in Tirumala, he said, everyone working in Tirumala should be a Hindu. This will be my first attempt to work in this direction. There are many issues with this. We have to pay attention to this.

Sanctity of temple should be protected: Naidu

Lord Venkateswara Bhakta Naidu on his appointment as Chairman of TTD Board said that he considers it a privilege to be appointed as Chairman of TTD Board. He also thanked Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and other leaders of the NDA government in the state for giving him the responsibility as the head of the board.

Days after the Prasad controversy came to light, the Andhra Pradesh government on Wednesday constituted a new board with 24 members for the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD). This board manages the world famous Balaji temple located at Tirumala Tirupati. The Naidu government has appointed BR Naidu as the chairman of the newly constituted TTD board, while Suchitra Ila, co-founder and MD of Bharat Biotech International Ltd, has been included among its 24 members.
