Sensex rose by 22 percent while Nifty saw a sharp improvement of 24 percent.

Mumbai: After starting the year 2080 at record highs and witnessing an unprecedented record rally in equities, the year ended on a negative note due to continued massive selling in equities by foreign portfolio investors (FPIs). Whereas the share of Bharti Airtel Limited which was Rs 935.45, has increased by 72.28 percent to Rs 1611.65 this year.
