Maharashtra Election 2024 : Now only 20 days are left for the assembly elections in Maharashtra. There is still confusion in the Mahayuti alliance regarding the candidates for Mahim assembly seat. At that time, it seems that there is going to be a triangular contest between Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray's son Amit Thackeray, sitting MLA Sada Sarvankar of Shinde's party Shiv Sena and Mahesh Sawant of Shiv Sena (UBT). However, the fight here has become interesting with BJP's promise to support Amit Thackeray.
Shinde's army in confusion!
This decision of BJP has dealt a big blow to Eknath Shinde's army because both are currently in the coalition government. Shiv Sena, under the leadership of CM Eknath Shinde, has decided to field its sitting MLA from this seat and both the parties are firm on their decision.
What did BJP expect and what happened?
BJP was hopeful that Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena would field MLA Saravankar and support Amit Thackeray. However, BJP leaders claim that an agreement has been reached with Shinde on this matter. Whereas the leaders of Shinde's party Shiv Sena argue that if they do not field candidates then their votes will go to the Uddhav group. Saravankar on Wednesday urged Raj Thackeray to withdraw his son's candidature from Mahim seat and support Shiv Sena.
