Rajkot: Concern is being raised in the administration of Rajkot Civil Hospital that due to Diwali festival the staff for medical services has been furloughed, but the incident has come to light that there is a ruckus in the Civil Hospital. In which two innocent children got burnt due to battery explosion in Amreli. Both the burnt children were referred from Amreli Hospital to Rajkot Civil Hospital for further treatment. Where the ineffective doctors here provided first aid to both the children and kept quarreling with each other in admitting them and the family members kept wandering throughout the night for the treatment of the burnt children. Due to negligence of Rajkot Civil Hospital system, the children did not get treatment and the family returned with both the children.
According to the details of the incident, Sagar Mansingbhai Bodaria (aged 7) and his elder brother Dheeraj Mansingbhai Bodaria (aged 11), from a laborer family who had come to Wadiya village of Amreli for farm labour, were playing with a light battery. Meanwhile, both the children got seriously burnt due to the sudden explosion of the battery. Therefore both the children were shifted to Amreli for treatment. Where a child was found to need minor plastic surgery and was referred to Rajkot Civil Hospital for further treatment.
The family brought both the children from Amreli to Rajkot Civil Hospital for further treatment, but due to the negligence and laxity of the doctors of the Civil Hospital, both the children did not get treatment and both the children remained worried for the treatment. However, doctors of the Civil Hospital were being transferred from one ward to another. The family members kept pleading for the treatment of the children, but the doctors of the Civil Hospital behaved inhumanely and did not treat them the whole night. It is alleged that eventually the family went back to Khijadiya village with their two children.

Due to severe burns due to bursting of battery pin, no treatment was received, both the children were referred to Rajkot after Amreli for immediate treatment, but still the children were desperate for treatment. The doctors at the Civil Hospital united them as if they had been pushed from one ward to another, lost to each other.
Vipulbhai Pokiya, vice-president of Amreli taluka, called the medical officer of Rajkot Civil Hospital and recommended treating the severely burnt children, but the medical officer only said yes. However, he alleged that there was negligence in the treatment.
