A case of treason has been registered against Chinmoy Das, one of the prominent faces of the ISKCON group in Bangladesh. A case was registered against Chinmoy Das Brahmachari and 19 other Hindu organization leaders and workers in Chittagong district on Wednesday evening.
What is the allegation?
Chinmoy Das is accused of insulting the national flag of Bangladesh during a rally held in Chittagong on October 25. Chittagong Police alleged that the saffron flag of ISKCON was hoisted above the national flag of Bangladesh during the protest.

Two people have also been arrested in this case. Chinmoy Das Brahmachari is the secretary of the ISKCON Trust in Bangladesh and has been continuously organizing rallies and demonstrations to raise his voice against the atrocities on Hindus.
Bangladesh government took action
Bangladesh government has filed a case against Chinmay Das accusing him of treason and conspiracy. Chinmoy Das said that on the day of the rally, some people hoisted the saffron flag over the moon and star flag, while he clarified that the moon and star flag is not the national flag of Bangladesh.
