Jaipur, 31 October (Hindustan Reporter). Diwali will be celebrated with great pomp today in Jaipur's revered deity Shri Govind Devji Temple. In the evening, a special rangoli will be made in Jagmohan in front of Thakur Shriji. The entire temple complex will be illuminated with 1100 lamps. Laddus will be offered to Thakur Shriji.

Manas Goswami, Sevadhikari of the temple, said that before the Mangala tableau today, Panchamrit Abhishek was done to Thakur Shriji along with recitation of Veda mantras. Thakur ji was made to wear a lappa dress made of golden parachha. The decoration was done with special ornaments and seasonal flowers. There was darshan for five hours continuously from Mangala to Dhoop Jhanki in the morning. The Govind Devji Temple management has taken this decision due to the huge turnout of devotees on Diwali. The darshan of Mangala Jhanki took place from 4 to 7 in the morning. After this the incense tableau was opened. This tableau closed at nine o'clock. That means the devotees had darshan in the Mangala tableau for three hours continuously. After this, only 15 minutes should be left for offering. After this the sun continued to shine till nine o'clock. In this way, the doors remained open for darshan for five continuous hours so that more and more devotees could have darshan comfortably.
