Jaipur, 31 October (Hindustan Reporter). People of Bengali community will offer Khichdi to Maa Kali at Durgabari Durga Mata Temple located at Bani Park, Kranti Chand Road. In this puja, the Bengali community, after worshiping Goddess Lakshmi on the new moon night, worship Goddess Kali and offer Khichdi to Goddess Kali at midnight. After which the idol of Maa Kali is immersed on the next day.
Temple Committee Chairman Sudipto Sen said that like every year, this year too after worshiping Goddess Lakshmi on the night of 31st November, the Bengali society will worship Goddess Kali. After which flowers will be offered to Goddess Kali. After this, Khichdi will be offered to Mata Rani. Pangat Prasadi will be organized after 12:30 noon on 1st November. In the first row, people of Bengali community observing fast will take food Prasadi. After which a huge Bhandara will be organised. It is being told that more than 1 thousand devotees will receive Prasad in this Bhandara.
The idol of Maa Kali is being celebrated for three months
People of Bengali society were busy making the statue of Maa Kali for the last 3 months. After the puja, the idol of Maa Kali will be immersed in the Nevata Dam with much fanfare on the second day. The artisans of Bengal use black clay to make this statue. In which he used coconut coir along with his lap. It is being told that after immersion, black soil settles in the surface of the water. Due to which there is no harm to the environment.
