Bilaspur, 30 October (Hindustan Reporter). SECL today on Wednesday inaugurated a fully equipped mobile medical unit. During this period, 13 mobile medical units were started. SECL CMD flagged off the mobile medical unit. Mobile medical units will work to provide health facilities to the common people in the operational areas of SECL. This facility will be available in an area of 25 kilometers of the mine areas. The mobile medical unit will provide first aid for common ailments as well as communicable and non-communicable diseases, diagnostics, RCH services, screening activities and referral to higher diagnostic and treatment centres.
Along with this, annual screening of above 35 population for blood sugar, pregnancy test, albumin and sugar, Hb, height/weight, vision test, rapid diagnostic test, hypertension, diabetes and cancer including weekly supply of medicines to patients requiring medicines. (High blood pressure, diabetes, epilepsy).
SECL CMD Dr. Prem Sagar Mishra, while sharing information about the facility, said that CECL is also discharging its social participation and responsibility along with coal production. Under this, a mobile medical unit has been started to provide better health facilities to the area residents, which will provide health facilities to the people in the mine areas as well as the surrounding areas. The company's board of directors, CVO and other officers and employees were also present on this occasion.
