Department carrying out inspection formalities
The team of the Food and Drug Administration Department inspects the shops in the city and village and gives necessary advice, but the work does not seem to be happening on the actual ground. For years, instructions have been given not to serve breakfast in paper containing newspaper ink, but it does not seem to have any effect. In most of the hotels and restaurants in the city and villages, breakfast is served only on paper containing newspaper ink. This can be easily seen in the shops at major intersections of the city but the department officials are not able to see all this. Similarly, the artisans who prepare breakfast keep gutkha in their mouth throughout the day, breakfast is also served in the same condition. That too is not visible. Similarly, most of the hotels have filth in front of them, which is ignored by the responsible officials.
