Kolkata, 30 October (HIST). Kali Puja is on Thursday i.e. 31st October. On this occasion people come out to visit the pandal. Keeping this in mind, Kolkata Metro has decided to provide additional services on the night of Kali Puja.
According to Metro Rail sources, on Thursday i.e. on the occasion of Kali Puja, trips will be reduced during the day compared to other days. On this day, 198 metros will run instead of 292. However, additional metro will run at night. The first metro for Kavi Subhash and Dakshineswar will leave at normal time. Eight special metros will run at night.
Metro will be available at an interval of 20 minutes from 9:40 pm to 11:00 pm (from both directions Kavi Subhash and Dakshineswar). Metro going to Dakshineswar will depart from Kavi Subhash at 10.00, 10.20, 10.40 and 11.00. Apart from this, Kavi Subhash Gami Metro will leave from Dakshineswar at 9:48, 10:08, 10:28 and 10:48. However, services from Sealdah to Salt Lake and from Salt Lake to Sealdah will remain normal.
