Hisar, 30 October (Hissar). Vice Chancellor of Haryana Agricultural University, Prof. BR Kamboj has said that whether we are able to make good use of the time that is saved due to the development of technology, is a matter of thinking. He said that the youth should have self-confidence. The youth should think that no matter how much difficulty comes in any situation, we have to reach our goal.

Vice Chancellor Prof. BR Kamboj was addressing the 'Seva Prabodhan' program organized under the joint aegis of Yuva and Seva Foundation, Haryana at HAU as the chief guest on Wednesday. Pratap Singh, Director of Counseling and Placement Cell of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology was present as the keynote speaker. The Vice Chancellor said that success is definitely achieved by working hard. Hard work and consistency are very important to reach the goal. He said that every work should be done by setting a target. Any work we do for the welfare of others is service.

The spirit of service is included in our values. As long as we help someone only with the intention of doing good to others, it is a charitable act, but as soon as we consider it to be God's work, then it becomes service. He said that only service which is done without any conditions and selflessly is meaningful. Service itself is an act of virtue. Giving the example of the great scientist Edison, he said that after failing 1000 times, he invented the bulb, if he had not made this effort, we would not have seen this light today. If you move through life with positive thoughts, your goal will be achieved. He also called upon the youth to read inspirational books.

Keynote speaker Pratap Singh said that India's civilization, its culture and its life values are deeply connected. He said that the essence of our 18 Puranas is charity and service to others. Giving the example of Swami Vivekananda, he said that Swami Vivekananda ji used to say that service to man is service to Narayan. He told the youth that there should be a passion for service within us. There is a need to bring service into your nature. Service is not small or big, we can serve someone by helping someone, by feeding the hungry, or by giving water to the thirsty. We can also do service work by forming an NGO or organization. The meaning of human life is that it can serve and do devotion. Virendra and Hemant associated with Seva Prabodhan were also present in the program. Deans, directors, officers, teachers and students of all the colleges were present on this occasion.
