Australian wicketkeeper batsman Matthew Wade has said goodbye to international cricket. He will play the role of coach in the upcoming T20 series against Pakistan. Wade said that I knew very well that my career was going to end after the T20 World Cup.
I have been discussing retirement and coaching with George Bailey and MacDonald for the last six months. I am excited for the new coaching role. Matthew Wade played 36 Tests, 97 ODIs and 92 T20 matches for Australia from 2011 to 2024. He played an important role in Australia winning the T20 World Cup in UAE. In the semi-final against Pakistan, he scored 41 runs in 17 balls. Wade played an excellent inning of 117 runs in Test cricket during the Ashes against England. He said that I will continue to play domestic cricket.
